How To Survive The Graveyard Shift

Our bodies are affected by the light and Gravitational affects just like the OCEAN, MOON and the EARTH.It is a powerful force. If the ocean can rise and fall from the daily rotation and gravitational forces, our bodies are surely affected also!

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS FOR YOUR HEALTH.

DO NOT DRINK COFFEE, CAFFEINATED SODAS, OR SUGARY SOFT DRINKS, These are poisons to your body even when you are on a regular schedule!

DRINK WATER AND LOTS OF IT!

EAT NUTRITIOUS FOODS, NO CRAP! That means no processed foods, EAT FRESH vegetables, fruits, etc. ONLY!

YOU need to get at least ONE hour of sunshine a day. THE SUN IS GOOD FOR YOU, do not believe the scare tactics of the sunscreen manufacturers. YOU NEED TO GET VITAMIN D FROM THE SUN. IT HELPS REGULATE YOUR BODY CLOCK.

SET A SLEEPING SCHEDULE.How did you sleep when you were working a day job?Remember? You would get up in the morning and go to work soon after you had risen from your sleep. What time did you go to bed? 10,11,12pm? Then you got up and departed for the office.

I am sure you now come home and are up for several hours before you TRY to sleep.

Attempt this:
#1. You need create an area in your home that is DARK and Quiet. NO RADIO, NO TV. A SLEEPING AREA ONLY.

#2.After you come home from work DO NOT EAT A HEAVY MEAL, Eat something light if anything at all. Do the things you used to do when working a regular schedule. Go dancing, play tennis, shopping. etc. DO NOT GO TO SLEEP AS SOON AS YOU COME HOME. FORCE YOURSELF TO STAY AWAKE UNTIL AFTER 12 pm. This is will help you reset your body clock.

#3. By 1 pm or sooner, start to relax and prepare to sleep, watch a movie, read a book, etc. You should set a goal to be sleeping no later than 2pm. With that goal in mind, you should be able to sleep until 10pm. or longer.

#4. Arise and prepare for work. EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST, EAT GOOD QUALITY FOOD! Do not use caffeine, soft drinks or etc to boost your awakening. Give yourself plenty of time to prepare for the office.

#5. Try this for at least a week. You need to give your body time to adjust. Over 20 years your body has been used to a totally different schedule. You can not expect to get used to this GRAVEYARD shift quickly. Especially if you are eating poorly and using stimulants such as coffee and soft drinks.

STICKING TO A SCHEDULE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THIS TO WORK..

New Guinness records in the Philippines

New records in the Philippines

On 15 March 2008 – nearly 487 years to the day after Ferdinand Magellan discovered the Philippines – businesswoman Sister Grace Galindez-Gupana (Philippines) achieved five Guinness World Records in a single day.

With the support of the Philippine National Red Cross, Sister Gupana embarked on a mass medical mission to provide 24 hours of free screenings for the marginalized Pintong Bocaue community. In doing so, she established four Guinness World Records:

Most blood identification tests in 24 hours: 260
Most cholesterol readings taken in 24 hours: 527
Most blood pressure readings taken in 24 hours: 2,302
Most diabetes readings taken in 24 hours: 503

Sister Grace wanted to involve children of the community in a record-breaking attempt too, and recruited youngsters from the local Baranggay Pintong Bocaue school to complete the longest drawing. Using coloured crayons, the children drew a picture of a long dragon with horns. The drawing was subsequently burned, in a symbolic act representing the victory of good over the devil.

All records were accredited in person by the Director of Records from Guinness World Records, who flew from London to Manila to certify that each record attempt had been carried out legitimately and to present Sister Gupana with certificates for her new records.

Sister Gupana is not new to record breaking. Last year, the ardent supporter of the State of Israel and its citizens reaped her first two Guinness World Records in the Holy Land for the largest flag (18,843 m²; 202,823 ft²) and for the largest banner (54,451 m²; 586,103 ft²).

For Sister Grace, breaking a record is a way of showing to the world that Filipinos can make a difference and are capable of helping and supporting those in need.

In regards to her remarkable feat, Sister Gupana states, "7 records is an amazing achievement for a lifetime."
